Johnson’s Charities provides a wide range of resources and support to families as they face the various challenges that come with caring for a child with special needs.
History
In 2011 Regina and Charles decided to start “Johnson’s Charities” a non-profit organization that would help assist families with children with special needs. “We had to find a way to give back to our community. I was taught as a child that we have to help and give where it is needed.” Give and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full-pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” Luke 6:38.

President
Regina S. Johnson, born August 28th a native of the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia, PA. She is the middle child of five. At the age of 10 years old Regina’s family packed up and move to Virginia. She was educated in the Richmond Public School system and is now seeking her degree in Criminal Justice. Regina is a retired Deputy Court Clerk with the Virginia Judicial System, which she served a total of 24 years. Being a single parent of two daughters, Regina was always willing to give another parent a helping hand. Rather it was being a babysitter, giving clothes or just opening up the refrigerator to give food. She understood just how difficult times could be. Once Regina married her husband Charles, she saw how dedicated he was with helping struggling families. She would be right by his side giving out turkeys for Thanksgiving, toys on Christmas and school supplies for back to school. In 2011 Regina and Charles decided to start “Johnson’s Charities” a non-profit organization that would help assist families with children with special needs. “We had to find a way to give back to our community. I was taught as a child that we have to help and give where it is needed.” Give and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full--pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back." Luke 6:38.

Following in the footsteps of your father is something that every young man aspires to do. ExpertBail Agent, Charles Johnson, of Johnson's Bonding in Richmond, Virginia, is no different. CJ, as his family and friends refer to him, grew up in a family-run bail bond office. As a young man, CJ learned from his father that being a bail agent in his community was more than just about getting defendants out of jail and ensuring they show up for trial. It was about making a difference. From local youth sports programs to breast cancer walks, Johnson's Bonding has always been about giving back. After CJ’s father passed away, he could have easily closed up shop and found his own path. But the reality is that CJ was already on his path and having a pretty good time along the way. To honor his father, CJ committed himself even more to his business and his community. You don’t have to look far around the holidays to find CJ and his family. They are usually out in the neighborhoods passing out Thanksgiving turkeys to those less fortunate families. During Christmas, they are in the community passing out truckloads of toys to the children. No matter what time of year or what the occasion is, when it involves helping someone who is less fortunate or strengthening the community, CJ is the first one there. Some follow in the footsteps of others because it is the expectation. Some follow in the footsteps of others out of respect. Others, like CJ, follow because it is who they were meant to be. CJ, is making his father proud.

Many people in the industry, media, artist and agents affectionately call her “mom”. There seems to be no end in sight for the ever-busy woman who is always willing to learn, teach and pray that everything she does will be looked at as an attempt to make people feel good about themselves. She’d like to let everyone who has ever purchased a ticket for one of their productions know that they are valued and appreciated, simply put “you guys are the reason we do what we do!” THANK YOU!
